Located in the heart of the Pioneer Valley, Kitchen Garden Farm is a thriving organic farm dedicated to sustainable agriculture and community health. Established in 2006 by Caroline and Tim, this farm spans 50 acres of fertile river bottom soil alongside the Connecticut River in Sunderland and Whately, Massachusetts. Initially starting on just one acre of rented land, the farm has significantly expanded, taking over previously conventionally farmed lands to convert them into organic production. Caroline and Tim's commitment to cultivating healthy soils involves a diverse range of crops, improved crop rotation, and effective cover cropping practices, contributing to the sustainability of the local agricultural ecosystem.
