Chateau Soucherie | Anjou Blanc "Cuvée Les Rangs de Long"
-for local Athens, GA pick-up only-
This refined and expressive white wine is produced by Château Soucherie, located in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley, France. Known for their dedication to sustainable viticulture and traditional winemaking practices, Château Soucherie crafts wines that beautifully capture the essence of their terroir.
"Cuvée Les Rangs de Long" is made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes, sourced from the estate's "Les Rangs de Long" vineyard, which is situated on the northern part of the estate with a south-southeast exposure. The vineyard's soils are a mix of clay, sand, and limestone with some schist, contributing to the wine's distinctive mineral character. The wine is vinified completely dry and aged on its fine lees for eight to nine months, enhancing its texture and complexity.
The wine showcases a bright straw color and an aromatic bouquet of citrus, green apple, and white flowers, with hints of limestone and wet stone. On the palate, it offers vibrant acidity and flavors of lemon zest, pear, and a touch of honey, leading to a crisp, mineral-driven finish.
