Sometimes supper needs one good egg, a single fillet or a small pan of toasted pecans. Smithey's Little Farmhouse Skillet is made for those jobs, with a nine-inch top that is easy to make room for beside a larger pan. It is also a useful companion when fried shallots or a buttery sauce are the finishing touch.

The carbon steel pan is hand-forged by artisan blacksmiths in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. We like its smaller scale for everyday cooking without bringing out the biggest skillet in the cupboard. Care for it like cast iron, keeping it dry and lightly oiled between meals. Give the little jobs a pan of their own.

Hand-forged carbon steel rewards regular cooking and simple care. Smithey recommends caring for it much like cast iron.
